Children's Ministries

At ERUMC children learn about being the hands and feet of Jesus through a variety of opportunities. Sunday school, VBS (Vacation Bible School) and FBI (Faith Based Investigators) camp are a some of the opportunities.

Sunday School:

Is for all ages September through May during the 9:30 hour.

Children’s Church:

Is for children ages 3 years through Kindergarten during our 11:00 am service and runs September through May.

All NEW for 08-09

We have completely new curriculum for our 5th-6th grade and 7th-8th grade classes this year. It includes ways to help our youth Tackle the tough questions they are asking about faith, relationships, and the choices they make. Captivate their attention when we dig into the real-life issues they are dealing with every day. Engage their participation through attention-grabbing lessons, thought-provoking videos, fun games, and deep, life-changing Bible lessons. Inspire them to connect throughout the week with their very own safe and secure online community at MyGrapple.com. Encourage faith practice with weekly challenges that dare preteens to apply what they’ve learned in simple yet effective ways.

Grades 5 & 6

Bible lessons that connect! Preteens are a moving target. Kids 10 to 12 are too old for children’s Sunday school, but too young for youth. They need "Grapple®"—the Sunday school curriculum that answers real-life preteen questions and tackles the issues preteens care about most!

Grades 7 & 8

4th - 6th Grade

We have activities including a New Year's Eve Party, service opportunities, other various outings.

Children's Ministry- Pre-K through 12th Grade

We have many on-going programs for youth of all ages. Sunday School is available during the school year for Pre-K through 12th Grade. Classes normally meet at 9:30am on Sundays. Summer Camps are available, check out one of the brochures at church. Vacation Bible School is held every year in August. Children's Choirs are open for all levels. We have three specific choirs for kids: the Sonshine Choir is for age 3-1st grades, the Joyful Noise Choir is for 2nd-5th grades, and the Youth Choir is open to 6th-12th graders. We also hold two Christmas Productions in December. There is a Sunday School Christmas Program (pre-school-5th grade). The second program is a musical put on by the youth choir (6th-12th grade). The older youth also usually travel to a nursing home and put on the presentation for the individuals there. In the spring we will have our Spring Musical. This will be put on by our Joyful Noise Chior (2nd-5th grade).
