Recovery
We have two groups currently meeting at Elk River UMC to help with recovery. If you would like more information, please contact us or just feel free to show up at a meeting.
Celebrate Recovery-The Crossing
For help with co-dependency, alcoholism, drug abuse, sex addiction, food addiction and gambling, come "just as you are" to The Crossing where you will be loved and accepted. We have Christ-focused recovery meetings every Thursday night to help for an addiction. Contact the church for additional information; (763) 441-2750.
Survivors Grief Support Group
is open to anyone grieving the death of a person they loved. Group members may be grieving a recent death, or one that occurred several years previously. The group size varies weekly from two to eight persons. Positive feedback is expressed in a helpful and kindly manner. If you are grieving, you are welcome to attend as many sessions as you wish. The group is presently facilitated by Rev. Jean Ottensmann . They meet each Thursday evening from 5:30 ‘til 7:00 p.m. in the Prayer Room on the lower level of Elk River United Methodist Church.
