Trustee's Annual Spring Clean Up
Trustee’s Annual Spring Clean-up is Saturday, April 28th. All ages, all abilities are welcome. We’ll find a task for you! We will meet in the church parking lot at 8am. Usually we’re done by noon. Talk to Eric Waldoch or call the office if you have any questions.

Readers Group I
The evening Reader's Group will meet on Tuesday, April 14th at 5:00 PM to discuss Educated: A Memoir by Tara Westover. Books are available to check out in the Fireside Room. If you don’t see a book in the Fireside Room, there are additional copies at the Elk River Library.

Easter Sunday
Join us for our Easter Sunday Celebration as we rejoice in the joy and hope of the resurrection! Worship begins at 9:30 AM, and all are welcome as we gather to celebrate the risen Christ together. After the service, stay for a time of fun and fellowship for the whole family, including an Easter egg hunt, face painting, and an Easter photo booth. It will be a wonderful morning of worship followed by activities everyone can enjoy. Invite your friends and neighbors and come celebrate Easter with us!
Good Friday
Good Friday Service is on April 3rd at 6:30 PM. A solemn reminder that our Lord died for our sins.
Readers Group II
Reader Group II decided to continue with “Soul of a Citizen” by Paul Rogat Loeb, since no one had finished reading the book. So on Wednesday, March 4th we will continue our discussion of this book. Movie Day
The Wednesday afternoon Book Club is planning a lunch and movie event at the church for Sunday, January 18th. You are invited to join us for lunch at 11:30 AM, followed by the movie, Just Mercy. After the movie, we will gather in Fellowship Hall for coffee and dessert, and an opportunity for you to share your thoughts on the issues brought out in the movie.
Just Mercy is a true story of justice and redemption. It is the story of Bryan Stevenson, a Harvard Law School graduate, who takes a job defending those who have been wrongly condemned by the criminal justice system. The story focuses on the case of Walter McMillian who was falsely convicted of murder and placed on Death Row.
The movie is rated PG-13. To allow parents to attend the movie, activities will be provided for children. Please let Becky or Tilly know how many and the ages of the children who will need this service.

Red Cross Blood Mobile
Red Cross Blood Mobile will be at church on Friday, October 24th from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. When was the last time you saved a life?!? Sign up to donate at redcrossblood.org or call the office for more information.
Holiday Continental Breakfast and Cookie Sale
Next Sunday, December 14th, UM Women in Faith will make a Continental Breakfast. They will also have a Bake Sale and Craft Sale. Proceeds will go towards the purchase of a new Altar table and a donation to Open Doors.
Adult Fellowship
Adult fellowship is a monthly meal, conversation, and short devotion. All are invited to meet new people and enjoy a meal (no cost/free will offering) on the 2nd Thursday of the month at noon.

We will meet Tuesday, December 9th to discuss the book The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. “This book…navigates the choppy waters of adult relationships, both romantic and platonic, with a fresh take” both “filled with humor and plenty of heart.”
Community Christmas Concert
The Community Choir is performing A Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 6th at Elk River Lutheran Church. Time to be announced. Many singers from our church are in the choir.

We will be reading The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie. “Inspired by his own experiences growing up, ...author Sherman Alexie chronicles the contemporary adolescence of one unlucky boy trying to rise above the life everyone expects him to live. We meet to discuss this book on Wednesday, December 3rd at 3:30 PM in the Fireside Room.
