Movie Day

The Wednesday afternoon Book Club is planning a lunch and movie event at the church for Sunday, January 18th. You are invited to join us for lunch at 11:30 AM, followed by the movie, Just Mercy. After the movie, we will gather in Fellowship Hall for coffee and dessert, and an opportunity for you to share your thoughts on the issues brought out in the movie.

Just Mercy is a true story of justice and redemption. It is the story of Bryan Stevenson, a Harvard Law School graduate, who takes a job defending those who have been wrongly condemned by the criminal justice system. The story focuses on the case of Walter McMillian who was falsely convicted of murder and placed on Death Row.

The movie is rated PG-13. To allow parents to attend the movie, activities will be provided for children. Please let Becky or Tilly know how many and the ages of the children who will need this service.
